The Scandalous Seed

A Poem on the upside-down Kingdom

Who would have thought…
That the one who spoke galaxies would fit in a womb
That the source of all love would bend on knee as the groom
Who could have foreseen such a great Kingdom void of a sword
What would you have imagined as the coming of the Lord?

Who would have thought…
That the Alpha and Omega would enter a moment in time
That the uncontainable one could be compressed and confined
That mere skin could cover glory that would outblaze the sun
Would you dare write such a story for the Anointed One?

Who would have thought…
That all of Heaven could be pinned down by three nails on a tree
That a harvest untold could burst out from the kernel of one seed
That one stab in his side would spill forth an infinite flood
Oh the wonder of the curse now reversed through his blood!
